They say of Black Star that “it captures the zingy energy and individual style that defines [Avril].” We’re so proud of the success that Black Star has seen this year! Only last weke, it was announced that Black Star was one of the top 10 best selling fragrances of 2009!

It looks like we might just get to hear Avril Lavigne’s new single Alice (Underground) before the February 4th premier date! The Live Leak are reporting that they will be leaking Alice (Underground) very soon!!

Yesterday morning, Avril did a new interview with one of our favorite men, Mr. Ryan Seacrest while on her way to a video shoot. She talked about judging on American Idol, and even her song “Alice”! She said Alice was written on piano and described the song as dark and the process of it’s creation. Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 also mixed the track. Lastly, Avril said her new single will be out in April and her album in June

According to Zack Taylor who hung out with Avril Lavigne in Vegas recently, Avril’s new album is “almost done and ready”! Zack also says that “People are going to enjoy this album more than any of her other ones… Her real emotions are out for all to hear!”

How excited are you!!

Remember back in the day when everyone was singing along to “Stacy’s Mom” or when everyone danced to Unk’s unbeatable rhythm of “Walk It Out?” Those certainly were the days. But today, it has become increasingly hard to stay in the spotlight for more than five minutes. However, these artists have proven resilient and have given us a plethora of songs to listen to as we list the top artists of the past decade.

1.Black Eyed Peas – This trio of trios dished out tons of top 100 songs over the decade. Especially as the songs “My Humps,” “Pump It” and “Boom Boom Pow” became instant dance hits. The other reason behind this choice is because of the group’s members, many of whom have very successful solo careers, most notably Fergie’s album “The Dutchess.”

2.Britney Spears – Her music and image were at the very center of the music scene in the early 2000s, back when we all were in middle school jamming out to her song, “Lucky.” We’d be lying if she didn’t affect the music of the last decade but then again, I think we could all do without the bald head.

3.Coldplay – It is hard to remember a world without Coldplay. They came off as a little indie band from England early on but have now created a fan following rivaling that of U2. Their music has been the feature of many critically acclaimed films, including “Garden State” and “Neverland.” Every album has been a gem and it makes them worthy of a top five spot.

4.Radiohead – This group has been active since the 1980s, but give them credit. They released four albums in the last decade, all to rave reviews. Radiohead has been with us since the beginning, and it feels right that this Southeast England band should be in one of the top spots.

5.Eminem – Already named artist of the decade by Billboard 100, Eminem earns a spot on the list because of his hard-hitting beats. His music is reminiscent of the recent decade and at the heart of many of us who remember such a time when he sang “Slim Shady.”

6.Avril Lavigne – Her punky and pop music was the alternative to the Britney Spears, Hilary Duff and Ashlee Simpson sound that sort of all mesh into one. All three of her albums have gone platinum, and each reached either the number one or number two on the Billboard 100.

Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne and “The Office” star Jenna Fischer didn’t all used to look this good.

The trio of women have all signed on to be celebrity spokespeople for Proactiv Solution, the world’s best-selling pimple-fighting beauty regimen, WWD reports.

Joining a long list of the brand’s famous pitch people that includes Jessica Simpson, Diddy, Mandy Moore and Jennifer Love Hewitt, the women will appear on-camera in one-minute, two-minute and 30-second commercials to boast about the acne-prevention line.

And from the sound of it, having blackheads and blemishes pays off.

According to company exec Ben Van de Bunt, the ladies will be receiving hefty paychecks in the mail.

“We are paying people consistently with what we have done in the past, which is millions of dollars,” Van de Bunt said.

Launching later this month, Perry, Lavigne and Fischer will be starring in ads that will air worldwide and will run for at least a year.

Avril Lavigne’s fourth studio album has reportedly been further delayed following her split with ex-husband Deryck Whibley.

The singer has been working with Whibley on the follow-up to 2007’s The Best Damn Thing. However, the pair are allegedly finding it “terribly frustrating” putting the finishing touches to it since their separation.

“The first eight songs, Avril and Deryck worked with a lot of love and it came easy. But there’s three or four more to do and they just ain’t feeling it,” a source told Jam Showbiz.

The former couple are reportedly trying to make a compromise production schedule to complete the record, tentatively titled Pink Crust.

“It’ll be a terrific album if they can put this aside for a month or so and concentrate on what matters – the music,” the source added.

The record, which was originally scheduled for release last November, is now expected to come out in the summer.

Lavigne filed for divorce from the Sum 41 star in September citing irreconcilable differences. The couple were married for three years.

It’s one of the most anticipated films of the year, and “Alice in Wonderland” looks to be bringing a stellar soundtrack along with it.

Among the artists involved is punk-rock pop star Avril Lavigne, who’s song “Alice (Underground” is the lead single.

In addition to Ms. Lavigne, the soundtrack, titled Almost Alice, will also feature the All-American Rejects, Owl City, Shinedown, Metro Station, and All Time Low.

“Alice in Wonderland,” starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway is set to hit theaters all over America on March 5th, 2010.
